Teenage Dream
This one started with the sweetest client and a mission: turn her daughter’s beige-on-beige ensuite into something fresh, fun, and full of personality— all while keeping the charm of their heritage home.

The jumping-off point? A pink and green stained glass window that was already part of the space and way too good not to design around. We leaned into the colours, mixing soft greens and blush tones with handmade tile that feels a little old-world, a little modern, and totally one-of-a-kind.
Pattern mixing is generally applied to outfits, but we’re firmly on team “stripes + florals" applies to bathrooms too. Green and white stripes adorn the lower half of the walls, while the floral penny tile quickly became our favourite part of the project.
We couldn’t find a floral penny tile in the colours or pattern we wanted, so naturally, we made our own. Tile by tile, we sat on the floor with our client (and her cat), placing each little tile flower by hand. Honestly, it felt more like arts and crafts than work—and we loved every minute of it!

Working together with the client on this project was such a joy and felt like a true collaboration. Every step of the way, we bounced ideas back and forth, celebrated little wins, and embraced the creative process with open minds (and plenty of laughs). This space really became a shared adventure, reflecting not just great design but the genuine connection we built along the way.
And in the end, we managed to impress a teenage girl.
Design mission accomplished!
