Love it or list it

This project was all about possibility. A young family living in Old Ottawa South loved their neighbourhood, loved their home, but needed some extra space. With two young kids and a busy life, these homeowners were craving a few key changes to help them thrive where they were - and this dream ensuite was at the top of the wish list!

These clients came to us with a clear vision and trusted us to elevate it: they wanted a calm, beautiful ensuite to help them thrive in the home they they already had. They craved something private, soothing, and inspired by Japandi design, so we leaned into neutral tones, simple forms, and natural materials to create a space that is grounded and restful.

We kept the palette soft but layered in texture; warm wood, smooth stone, and hand-finished tile, to create a space that feels serene, but never sterile. Every detail was chosen with care, from the sculptural tub to the slim-profile fixtures - bringing in just enough detail to make the space feel special without overcomplicating it.

This was another true collaboration and a reminder of how much a space can support the pace of daily life when designed right. And in the end? They chose to love it and not list it (and with a new ensuite like this, who could be surprised?!)

This wasn’t just a bathroom reno—it was a mindset shift. We created a space that carves out a few minutes of calm in a chaotic day. Like a little daily exhale.
